It's a very weak bluff. they participated last year as a conf member

to win any case like that, you'd have to show some type of tangible impact or harm; and their contract with the ACC says they can join thru 2036 (or whenever); so any harm/restraint would be self inflicted a

and it certainly doesn't help your case when you are fresh off a playoff appearance under circumstances you were clearly amenable to just a few months prior.

also, it's clearly not a financial issue because they would/could make more in a conference.
